Welcome to the Amarillo Area Transgender Advocacy Group
Since being established in 2019, the Amarillo Area Transgender Advocacy Group has been known for its commitment to speaking up and speaking out for our community. We stand for ALL minorities. Every single person, no matter their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or background, deserves to feel loved, safe, and validated. For centuries, anyone who has been viewed as different was treated horribly, tortured, and on many occasions, killed. It’s time to change the narrative! We strive to educate the public and advocate for those whose voices have been silenced for far too long.
Those who have survived the unthinkable are also those who know how to create a better world – because it’s ended for us before.
support groups every Wednesday
Our support group is open to transgender individuals, family, and those who support the transgender community. Regardless where an individual identifies on the spectrum, you are welcome to join.
We also host an annual dinner where we come together to feed the community and share a holiday meal. And as of 2024 we are hosting an annual Rainbow Pride Fest in the Park. Check out our News & Events page to stay up to date.
